Pray
For Our Troops
The
weather in Iraq is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our
prayers for strength, endurance and safety. Of all the gifts you
could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in
harm's way, prayer is the very best!!!

"Lord,
hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform
for us in our time of need.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Amen."

PRAYER ANSWERED:
Through
Todd Mitchum, Crossmix received this e-mail from Josh Wilson.
Hey Todd,
Thank you for your e-mail. I appreciate your willingness to help. We
evacuated in time to Natchez, Mississippi and we have been here at a
hotel for 2 weeks. I'm trying to set up a command center here to get
things back in order for the company as well as the wedding industry.
I'm also
thinking about setting up some type of website or headquarters for
brides who have had their weddings scheduled in New Orleans, where they
can find out the latest info on Vendors, Venues etc... What do you think
of the idea? I lost 2 systems to the storm, which is pretty huge but we
will recover somehow. If there is anything you can do to help rebuild,
it would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you, and
any assistance you can provide.

Crossmix Co-Founder Ray Martinez
Injured In Car Accident
July 13, 2005
Goodyear,
AZ- Crossmix Co-Founder Ray Martinez was injured in a car accident when
his Ford Ranger pick up truck blew a back rear tire at 65 mph on
Interstate 10 Freeway in Goodyear, AZ. As Ray Mar was about to change
lanes his left rear Firestone Wilderness tire blew out causing the truck
to roll over at least two times according to witnesses.

Ray Mar was quoted as saying that "By the grace of Almighty God, He
saved my life, as He wasn't finished with me yet. There is no question
that this is a miracle and I am praising Him for sparing me."
The miracle of this whole event is that to date the only injuries known
at this time are bruises on his neck from the seat belt, cuts and
bruises on his hand, elbow and ear, but no broken bones or internal
injuries or head trauma. After the car came to a complete stop, Ray Mar
was able to walk out of the vehicle on his own power then was
transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix.
Ray Mar also said that the DJ community will be instrumental in his
recovery as he has received so many phone calls and e-mails of people
willing to help cover any of his events as well as extending their best
wishes. He also is asking to keep him lifted up in your prayers. Ray Mar
can be reached by e-mail at DJRayMar@aol.com
or calling him at (623) 386-8891.
PRAYERS ANSWERED
August
2005 - Four
weeks after the accident, Ray Mar is up and around still receiving
physical therapy treatments. Although still unable to lift his
equipment, he is ready for his first gig back the weekend of August 13,
2005. He is up to about 85-90% recovered. He also made a trip
to Atlantic City to personally thank all the DJ's who took the time to
call and write.
February 2006-Ray Mar is completely
healed with no after effects of his car accident. He is feeling 100%
better and is looking forward to seeing many friends again in Las Vegas
for the Mobile Beat Show.
Fellow DJ Needs Your Prayers
Joe Martin of KCADJA
is in a pretty serious situation right now...he went in for basic
surgery and is now suffering with 101-103 temperature his body has
swollen, he has yeast in his lungs from all the antibiotics, and fluid
in his lungs as well. He starts to signs of recovery and then gets a set
back. He was put into a medical coma and that seemed to help...but he
gets anxious to want to get better. His body has from heart trouble to a
collapsed lung to ...you name it, a puncture in his stomach and fluids
leaking (fixed for now). I request on behalf of Joe & Kristie (his
wife) for healing to take place, they are Christian Catholics who love
the Lord and right now need divine intervention. Also, pray that he will
be up and around soon. His clients are depending on him. Please pray for
the KCADJA and that we can free up time to help Kristie with her gigs
already booked and future of her business.
PRAYER ANSWERED
Joe Martin is up and well and back working his gigs.
"Remember The
Troops"
No matter how you feel about the
war, hopefully you feel the same way we do about the troops who are
there. God bless them all!
This is a letter from Ray Reynolds, a
medic in the Iowa Army National
Guard, serving in Iraq:
As I head off to Baghdad for the final weeks of my stay in Iraq, I
wanted to say thanks to all of you who did not believe the media. They
have done a very poor job of covering everything that has happened. I am
sorry that I have not been able to visit all of you during my two week
leave back home. And just so you can rest at night knowing something is
happening in Iraq that is noteworthy, I thought I would pass this on to
you. This is the list of things that has happened in Iraq recently:
(Please share it with your friends and compare it to the version that
your paper is producing.)
* Over 400,000 kids have up-to-date
immunizations..
* School attendance is up 80% from levels before the war.
* Over 1,500 schools have been renovated and rid of the weapons stored
there so education can occur.
* The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain can be off-loaded from
ships faster.
* The country had its first 2 billion barrel export of oil in August.
* Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first time
ever in Iraq.
* The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did before
the war.
* 100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35%
before the war.
* Elections are taking place in every major city, and city councils are
in place.
* Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
* Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
* Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are securing the country.
* Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by side
with US soldiers.
* Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
* Students are taught field sanitation and hand washing techniques to
prevent the spread of germs.
* An interim constitution has been signed.
* Girls are allowed to attend school.
* Textbooks that don't mention Saddam are in the schools for the first
time in 30 years.
Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I
have met many, many people from Iraq that want us there, and in a bad
way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they
hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and I
challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts. So If you
happen to run into anyone who thinks its all a waste, be sure to send
him to Denison, Iowa. This soldier will set him straight. If you are
like me and very disgusted with how this period of rebuilding has been
portrayed, email this to a friend and let them know there are good
things happening.

The
average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired,
tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society
as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy
a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much
for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's; but
he has never collected unemployment either.

He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student,
pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and
has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left, or
swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away. He listens to
rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and 155mm howitzer. He is
10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he was at home because he is working
or fighting from before dawn to well after dusk.
He has trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for him, but he can
field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and reassemble it in less time in the
dark. He can recite to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or grenade
launcher and use either one effectively if he must. He digs foxholes and
latrines and can apply first aid like a professional. He can march until
he is told to stop or stop until he is told to march.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation, but he is not without
spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient. He has two sets of
fatigues: he washes one and wears the other. He keeps his canteens full
and his feet dry. He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never to
clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes, and fix
his own hurts. If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you
are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition with you in the
midst of battle when you run low.
He has learned to use his hands like weapons and weapons like they were
his hands. He can save your life -- or take it, because that is his job.
He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay and still
find ironic humor in it all. He has seen more suffering and death then he
should have in his short lifetime.

He has stood atop mountains of dead bodies, and helped to create them. He
has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat
and is unashamed. He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate
through his body while at rigid attention, while tempering the burning
desire to 'square-away' those around him who haven't bothered to stand,
remove their hat, or even stop talking. In an odd twist, day in and day
out, far from home, he defends their right to be disrespectful.
Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying
the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy. He is the
American Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years.

He has asked nothing in return, except our friendship and understanding.
Remember him, always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with
his blood. And now we even have woman over there in danger, doing their
part in this tradition
of
going to War when our nation calls us to do so. As you go to bed tonight,
remember this shot. A short lull, a little shade and a picture of loved
ones in their helmets.

My
name is Gary Hogan. Some of you receiving this know me, some do
not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been
diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances for
survival are very slim.
She
was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3
months, and now we know why. This is a request for you to forward
this e-mail to everyone you know asking for prayer. The more people
that pray for her to be healed, the better.
Pray
and forward. It only takes a second to hit
"forward". Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer will
save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the
HEALING of Cindy, removal of all cancer in her body so she may enjoy all
that life has to offer, and to continue to be the wonderful
mother to our 5 year old son, Michael.
The
power of Prayer is unsurpassed I want the whole world to have her in their
prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry.
Please do not be offended by my plea. This is only a request
for your help.
Thank
you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping with our
request for healing. No words can express the power
we have when we each do a little to come together.

Hello all,
I'm sorry I haven't gotten this up sooner,
but I need your prayers concerning a tragedy that has happened in my
family over the passed weekend, this past Saturday February 21st.
My niece Dee, 18 years old and months from
graduating, was involved in a terrible car accident. Her neck was broken
in 3 places and the DR. is speculating that she'll be paralyzed from the
neck down. Of course none of us are accepting this. There is nothing too
hard for God. We all know she will pull through and be fine.
Nevertheless we are all praying and
fasting. My brother and I, along with a few others who have decided to
join us, have decided to fast 7 days for 7 hours each day, between the
hours of Noon and 7:00 pm. The fast started Monday, February 23, and will end next
Monday, unless we feel it needs to continue.
I invite those of you who would like to
participate to please join us in any way or for any length of time you
feel led to.
Otherwise please just remember Dee in your
prayers as well as all of us who are reeling in the wake of this
un-expected tragedy.
My sister and her husband are taking the
whole situation as well as can be expected. The support system they have
has amazed even members of the staff at the hospital trauma center where
Dee is. They have never seen any one person have so many visitors. There
has been a line outside waiting to see her at times.
This all helps our spirits a great deal,
but there's never such thing as too much support, prayer and well wishes.
Please keep us all in your thoughts guys.
If you'd like to send thoughts to the
family or Dee please post something here. I'll print them all out for My
sister. She's is keeping a scrap book for Dee, so that when God heals here
she will look back in amazement at all of the many people who prayed,
fasted and wished her well.
Include your city and state if you do post
comments.
Thanks in advance for your prayers and thoughts.
Ron
