Great
to hear back from you. I just want to let you know that I am still
Rockin for the Lord. This past Saturday, I participated in a Local
Gospel event at a church near me, it turned out great ! I played
background music for the different gospel artists + did a little
DJ work during intermission. I was defiantly in the flow. The
feeling that you get when you play for God is beyond words ! I
should have been doing this years ago ! Let's stay in touch.
God
Bless you Ray and may God continue to bless Crossmix.

Ray,
First of all, thank you for the two prayer
books (Gospel of John) you gave
me Wednesday afternoon at the CrossMix booth. I'll keep one with
me when I
travel and the other I will give to someone in need.
I am not a DJ, but would like to be one.
There is no doubt my being at the
Mobile Beat 2004 DJ show was mere happenstance. It happened for a
reason.
Let me give you just a little background:
I have the primary responsibility
for caring for my two sons, ages 12 and 16. I transport them to
and from
school and I also do after school activities with them, prepare dinner
and
do the homework thing. I wanted to attend the DJ conference, but
was
apprehensive about leaving them. With the blessing of my wife she
sent me
to Las Vegas.
Wednesday morning I flew out of Ontario
Airport. It seemed whatever man-made obstacles were in the way,
the Holy Spirit cleared them. I arrived, checked into the hotel without
a reservation, registered for the conference "at a huge
discount" and my first conference was "True Lies."
Upon registering for the conference, the young
lady explained what was available that day. She made a point to
say, and she whispered to me, ". . .. they aren't really a part of
us." At that moment she had my attention. I thought to
myself, "Christian DJ's, how cool!" But even more, since
she seemed somewhat indifferent, that was more reason why I should check
out "True Lies."
The True Lies presentation was profound.
It made me realize that DJ's play such a significant role in presenting
music to teens and young adults. The aimless selection and playing
of a popular song that has a wonderful beat, but is laced with
profanity, hatred and degrades women is not a responsible thing to do.
I applaud everyone's efforts at CrossMix.
I received a powerful wake-up call Wednesday afternoon. I will now
be more vigilant with what my kids watch on television, the games played
on their Playstation II and ultimately the music I intend to play in the
future. If the "True Lies" presentation has an impact on
other DJs the way it impacted me, then the mission of CrossMix would be
nearly complete. Thanks again Art.
All the best,
Jay M. Collins

Dear Ray Mar
Greetings to you and yours from (the very
cold and snowy) North Idaho. We just got a call from Johnny D.
down in Boise in regard to a couple looking for a Christian DJ for their
wedding. Now Johnny would love to do this event but he is already
booked. So, how does one find another Christian DJ in the area?
They go to CrossMix and look up the members. Now we have not booked the
show (yet), but this is not the first time that someone has found us
through the CrossMix website.
I just wanted to say thank you and all the
others that are involved in making this website happen. Monica and I are
sitting here right now designing our website and like to use the symbol
from CrossMix. Once we have the site done, I would like to get the
address to you and maybe have it added to your membership listing.
Just a quick note to say thank you and to
wish you and yours the best for this new year.
May God Bless you and keep you,
Blake & Monica Miller

Greetings:
My name is Tony Rhoda of DJ This Entertainment in Central Florida. I
was given your name and number in regards to writing devotionals for
the Crossmix web site. I would like to add my talents as a writer to
the cross mix page and with any other things you might need, press
releases, or anything else that would need my services. I feel that
having weekly devotionals aimed at the DJ business would enhance the
website and also give that much needed weekly boost to the DJ's that
visit the web site. You can check out my devotional ministry at www.TDDM.org.
I founded it back in 97. Thank you for your time and I look forward to
hearing from you soon.
God Bless,

Dear Ray Martinez,
Mega blessings to you and to Cross Mix.
AirOne Mobile DJ's is a Christian-based business and would like
inclusion to your Christian Business directory. Our name is
scripture based. "Air" is taken from 1 Thessalonians
4:17-18, basically the rapture verse. "One" is from Acts
2:1, the introduction of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles. We are
non-denominational but full gospel. Instead of segregating
ourselves into playing just Christian music, we play Christian and
secular music for all events with one exception, we will not play any
music that has objectionable lyrics (i.e. pertaining to sex, violence or
bad language.) We are insulated but not isolated.
Our covering is at Word of Life Christian
Center in Lone Tree Colorado pastored by Dr. Mark T. and Gayla Bagwell
http://www.wolcc.net - Esther Herdt there will provide you a reference
to the type of business we operate and our service to God and the
church. Call us if you would like more information and may God prosper
you one hundred fold with your ministry.

Hello Ray,
I hope this note
finds you well. I apologize for not sending this sooner, but I just
wanted to say what a pleasure it was to meet you in Atlantic City. Your
seminar was a refreshing breath of fresh air in this sometimes
dog-eat-dog world. I admire the passion & conviction with which you
spoke.
It's been a while, &
you have meet so many new faces, I don't know if you will remember me, I
was the one you met from the Maine Disc Jockey Network when you ran into
Steve Fernino the afternoon before your seminar.
I would love to hear more
information about Crossmix, I recognize many members on the list, &
am interested. I am also curious to know how you got to meet with George
Bush , & Tony Bennett :-)
Once again Ray, it was a pleasure to meet
you, I hope we keep in touch! God Bless & Take Care!
Sincerely,

Dear CrossMix:
I am a mobile DJ in Canada (Edmonton,
Alberta). I have been
with Kapers Kustom Entertainment for 14 years and bought the company
six years ago. I was raised in B.C. in a Mennonite community and attended
a private Christian school from grade 8 through 11 so I knew about
Christ and His salvation. When I moved to Edmonton in 1980 I drifted
away from God for about 18 years. In October of 1998 I attended a
service at a church that was in the warehouse right next to our office and the Lord really started to speak to me. I cried out
to Him and opened my Bible at the same time and it fell open to Luke 15.
Well, I knew that God was calling me home, so I
returned to Him. I dedicated my business to the
Lord in January of 1999 and since then He has been leading
me in a powerful way. He brought about a series of seemingly negative events which had a very positive outcome allowing us to
pay off the previous owner
in full.
God also removed all five of the
non-Christian DJs from our
company and He is now in the process of bringing Christian DJs to us. Through it all I have had to do nothing except be
faithful and patient. Kapers is still in operation
for now, but !PRAISE is the name of the new
company. I have been blessed with Christian events even through Kapers, but I know the Lord has some plans for !PRAISE in the
future. Currently we have temporary offices in our
church (Christ Family Fellowship) and we are in
transition but to what extent I do not know yet. I have connected
with several churches, youth leaders and also with the local Christian
radio station and I am receiving support wherever I go. It is hard
to be patient and leave Christ in control (this is my biggest ongoing
battle), but I know that He will bring the business about if I yield
all things to Him. I would appreciate any information about Crossmix
that you have and let me know if there is a Canadian registry yet. I
currently have only email for !PRAISE and it is:
praise@kapersdj.com. Our Kapers website for now is
www.kapersdj.com pray God's
blessing upon your work.
Sincerely,
Harlley Snow

To Those in Service of the Lord,
I have finally found a respectable and informative website dedicated
to Christian DJ's, truly awesome! I am very interested in becoming a member of your
organization, so that I too may be of service to the Lord through my
business. Since
I have found your website, I've decided to turn my business over to the
Lord
in all his glorious compassion and grace and you know it feels terrific!
Through membership in
your organization I hope I'll be able to reach a wider array of faithful
people and DJ's,
also I am, to my knowledge, the only Christian DJ in all of northern
Nevada, awesome!
